How to Hyperlink an Email 
Address on your Web Page:



Overview: This guide will walk you through how to apply a hyperlink to your your email address, making it possible for a visitor to select and email the address displayed via their email service.


Note: This task will need to be completed in the Visual Builder side of your website where you make your website edits.


Getting Started: How to Hyperlink an Email Address on your Web Page 


1. While on the Dashboard, select the "Edit Website" link at the top of your screen within the blue band next to the View Website option.

2. This will trigger the Visual Builder page to appear.


3. While in the Visual Builder screen, Navigate to the page you would like to apply a Hyperlink to an email address.


Note: This can be done by selecting the page menu item ton the left-hand side of your screen, followed by scrolling down in the dropdown and selecting the page the edit will take place in.


4. After navigating to the page that houses the email address you would like to edit, you will first need to find the block the email is located, then you can select the text itself, which will highlight the with a blue box (this should then display a "P" for paragraph text), once the box appears you will be given editing options. 


5. Select the Pencil Icon option to begin the process of editing the email address.


6. You will then be prompted with the text editing window at the bottom of the screen, highlight the email you wish to hyperlink and select the link button in the text options above (its looks like a figure 8 or a chain).


7.  A window/pop-up will prompt you with 2 fields. 


A. The first field (Link Title) can be left as is.


B. The second field (Link Target) will be where we where we can trigger the email to be messaged via a click on the web.


8. In Link Target you will need to input the email address command by putting in mailto: followed by the email address.


Example: If your email is test@test.com then you will enter mailto:test@test.com


Note: Selecting the check box below Link Target, does not have any effect here.


9. Once you have infilled mailto: followed by the email address, scroll down to the bottom of the pop up and select "Add."


10. Now in the text window, select "Save."


11. Finally navigate to "Save" and "Publish" at the top of the screen in the right-hand corner to make the edit live.
